About the Founder
I am a qualified Pediatrician with a degree in Psychology and Developmental Neurology, and my career has paved the way for a deep understanding of child development and well-being. I have been intensely aware from a very young age of being different (or maybe difficult) in terms of relating to people and experiences. I found my haven in art and other forms of creative expression, like drama. My wish was to create a safe space for neurodivergent individuals to meet and overcome their challenges in an innovative and less stressful manner. I then became certified as an expressive art therapist. My experience of parenting neurodivergent children brought me more insight into the need for authentic connection, respect, and meaningful engagement over any behavioural correction or training. I transitioned from an approach to correct and communicate to an initiative to coregulate, coordinate, and collaborate to coexist happily.
Since 2021, I have also been certified to train families on the Relationship Development Intervention (RDI) program for autism spectrum disorder. Based in the UK, I have been actively coaching numerous families, empowering them to build meaningful connections and address the unique needs of their autistic children here and in India. The Relationship Development Intervention (RDI) program is a parent-based, developmental approach that focuses on building dynamic intelligence and improving the quality of life for individuals with autism. Over the years, RDI has demonstrated significant success in helping autistic individuals develop better social communication, emotional regulation, and flexible thinking.
I now conduct training sessions for families and professionals interested in learning more about the RDI approach and Creative Expression.
